Which banks can send Faster Payments and what is my bank's value limit

Faster Payments is the first new payments service to be introduced in the UK for more than 20 years.

To ensure that the service is launched smoothly, securely and with total reliability for customers, banks and building societies have been phasing the service.

All of the founding members are now sending and receiving faster payments, however, some may not be sending all types of faster payments. Only your bank can confirm the services that are available to you.

In addition to the 13 founding members of the Faster Payments Service, other banks and building societies may be enabling customers to receive and/or send faster payments.  We have compiled a list of other financial institutions whose sort codes support faster payments being made to their accounts.  You will need to check with your own bank or building society if you want to ensure that you can send a payment from your account at one of these institutions.

Some of the founding members have separate commercial, private banking or offshore (Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man) establishments which will offer faster payments. Whilst these banks are not included in the list below, you can use the sort code checker to find out if the account you are sending to can receive faster payments.
